Job Description



The Database Analyst will have responsibility for data quality, data mining, troubleshooting, database querying and reporting, and communicating between business and IT in the performance of these responsiblities. This position will work in our Colorado office and interface with NextAction's data services and production teams, as well as offshore resources. The candidate should have knowledge within and meet the majority of the following requirements:



Skills and Qualifications



· Working knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL databases

· Intimate with PL/SQL, Unix Shell, SQL, T-SQL, DTS packages, and SSIS development

· Experience with standard concepts, practices and procedures relating to data manipulation

· Strong problem solving and investigative skills

· Ability to track and understand data elements from varied sources

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Demonstrated strength in business analysis skills and utilization of current database technology and tools to deliver effective service

· Ability to work with an expedited delivery schedule and changing priorities

· Ability to obtain an understanding of the major procedures/functions of the groups being supported

· Skill to evaluate current processes and workflow for various business functions, document findings, and recommend improvements

· Knowledge of MS Office products

· Ability to work with a diverse team both internally and overseas
