We are seeking a highly talented Software Engineer (.NET developer)
with the knowledge, motivation, and creativity to help eBags maintain
its position as an ecommerce leader. You should have solid skills in
C# and ASP.Net development with the desire to bring your creativity

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain ASP.Net and Windows Back-
end applications using C#, which enable the delivery of high-quality,
product ready software components.
• You will develop software following the company's Agile
processes and coding standards for new and existing products.
• Utilize object oriented design principles, practices, and
patterns to ensure our code base is reusable and maintainable.
• Engage in group design discussions and and participate in
mentoring, pair-programming etc, as appropriate.
• Participate in project estimation and planning; provide
initial work estimates and continuous updates.
• Practice continuous learning to stay up-to-date on software
technology and engineering best practices

Qualifications / Skills Required :

• 4+ years of relevant work experience and training.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
• Proficiency with the following: C#, ASP.Net and the .Net
Framework (2.0 or higher).
• Web based languages such as HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.
• Solid experience working with SQL Server. Oracle experience
is a plus.
• Understand business requirements and be unafraid to ask
clarifying questions of the business units or product owners to
better understand the requirements and how best to implement them.
• Have proven success working with deadlines and business
demands.
• Able to succeed when working alone, doing one's own
troubleshooting and problem-solving as well as in a collaborative
team environment.
• Clear understanding and mastery of web development using
Visual Studio 2005 and ASP.NET 2.0 (C#) with Microsoft SQL 2005.
Visual Studio 2008, .Net 3.0/3.5 Framework and SQL Server 2008
experience would be a plus.
• Very strong JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, and CSS skills,
particularly for creating valid, W3C standards compliant, cross-
browser, cross-platform markup.
• Knowledge of and experience using AJAX and web 2.0
technologies to build dynamic and highly interactive web pages.
Familiarity with ASP.NET AJAX (formerly Atlas) toolkit is highly
desirable.
• Experience with unit testing using NUnit or some similar unit
testing framework is a plus.
• Extensive experience in performance tuning and testing of web-
based applications built on Microsoft technologies, including
database design, administration and development against Microsoft SQL
Server a big plus.
• Experience working with and designing XML or SOAP based Web
Services.
• Familiarity with User Controls in .NET applications.
• Exposure to ColdFusion or similar web scripting language
helpful but not necessary.
• Exposure to Oracle helpful but not necessary.
• Application of object oriented techniques and patterns such
as decorator, factory, MVP/MVC, etc.
• Experience with Microsoft TFS a big plus.
• Desire to work in an Agile environment.
