Job Description: SQL Database Developer



Responsibilities:



* Write SQL statements within stored procedures; perform database
queries

* Perform web application development utilizing ASP.net and
VB.net.

* Responsible for designing, development, tuning, and maintaining
SQL Server 2000 and 2005 databases that support a variety of marketing
analysis applications.

* Creating, testing implementing, and maintaining stored
procedures.

* Work with application developers to develop and implement
solutions.

* Ensure that standards for database performance, availability,
and security are being met as well as mentor other team members on
various aspects of SQL Server



Requirements:



* Experience utilizing ASP.net and VB.net in an Enterprise
Environment

* Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server in a .NET / C#
environment

* Experience with SQL Server 2005

* Strong stored procedure skills

* Solid understanding of SQL Server locking, indexing and error
handling

* Strong understanding of how to maximize SQL Server application
scalability, performance, recoverability, and maintainability

* Experience working with project managers / users to plan and
implement releases

* 3 to 5 years of relational database experience within a
multi-tiered environment including use of database performance and
monitoring tools

* Understanding of various schema and their pros / cons: star
schema, snowflake schema, 3rd normal form, etc.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Experience supporting data warehouses

* Strong application development experience a plus

Job Description: Sr. Software Engineer



Purpose:



The Senior Software Engineer actively supports Springbok's
Organizational Goals and Objectives through the development you will
assist in the architecture, design and implementation of highly scalable
critical system components. You will also be involved with the planning
and execution of the product development and release schedule and
maintenance of our core application infrastructure that supports Card
Issuance, Card Fulfillment and Card Processing. Additionally, this
position is the point of contact within the IT group for all database
questions/issues.





Responsibilities:



* Assist in the architecture, design and implementation highly
scalable critical system components.

* Be involved with the planning and execution of the product
development and release schedule.

* Design, scope, implement and test new features end-to-end both
independently and with other team members.

* Troubleshoot, optimize and performance tune as necessary.

* Write unit tested and maintainable code.

* Other responsibilities as necessary.

* Provide feature-level design, implementation, delivery and
maintenance/ enhancements of the company's products

* Translate features and requirements into engineering design
documentation

* Perform testing at the unit level

* Prepare labor estimates for the development and delivery of
assigned features

* Accountable for the implementation (including unit testing),
functional completeness and delivery to performance, supportability,
scalability, and testability goals

* Meet project deadlines while maintaining high customer service
and quality control levels

* Work directly with the core engineering team from feature
definition to delivery

* Other duties as assigned



Requirements:

* Bachelors degree in computer science, applied mathematics,
management information systems or computer information or related field

* 3-7 years experience software engineering experience

* Proficiency in C# and ASP.net

* SQL experience preferred

* Must be able to create simple solutions to complex design
problems

* Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
while effectively managing schedule and communicating progress.

* Ability to quickly ascertain and solve critical problems under
pressure.

* Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in team
environments

* Commitment to organizational goals and objectives
