Great-West is currently hiring a Senior Software Systems Engineer to join our Financial Services team of technical professionals and play a vital role in developing business internet applications. This individual will be responsible for development and support of B2C Internet applications for use by both internal and external clients.
Requirements:
- Object-oriented analysis, design, and development abilities
- 3+ years general Java language experience
- Previous experience with a relational database query language such as Oracle SQL
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required
- Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent applicable work experience.
Other desirable experience:
- Development experience writing and debugging J2EE Web applications
- Application Servers such as BEA Weblogic or JBoss
- XML
- Web Services
- CORBA
- UNIX operating systems such as Sun Solaris or Linux; Tools & Utilities
- Sun JAVA Certification
- Microsoft Office Applications such as Word, Excel and Visio
