VisionTEK is currently seeking a Support Engineer for our
Louisville/Superior, Colorado office. VisionTEK is a leading provider of mobile
public safety software applications. Our product provides law enforcement
agencies with communications and mobile data solutions.
This successful applicant will be a detail-oriented individual with a
strong skill set in communications as it relates to technology. This
position exposes employees to a wide variety of technologies including
.NET software, Java software, communications middleware, a wide variety of
wireless networking and much more.
Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support to existing clients; trouble-shoot
problems for VisionTEK products.
* Coordinate and perform installations, upgrades, and patch releases.
* Log/resolve/follow-up on Client support issues.
* Ensures each assigned issue is researched and handled in a timely
manner.
* Communicate with customers to address technical issues and implement
solutions.
* Create, document, track and manage customer inquiries using defect
tracking/CRM software.
Experience and Skills:
* BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or
equivalent work experience desired.
* 3+ years of experience as a Tech Support professional
* RDBMS experience; SQL Server Administration preferred
* Windows server Administration Experience required
* Apache and IIS knowledge preferred
* Windows 2000/XP client administration experience
* Understanding of TCP/IP networking
* Solid understanding of MS Office required
* IT project management experience a plus
