Job Summary


This seasoned, professional position works within the development team
to deliver software solutions based on current technologies through all
phases of the software development cycle.




Essential Duties and Responsibilities


* Analyzing business requirements and formulating a design with
supporting custom and UML-based documentation.

* Designing and developing standalone and
application-server-based applications.

* Generating supporting unit tests as well as system test
specifications and implementations.

* Generating automated deployment of developed solutions.

* Developing implementation and troubleshooting guides.

* Working independently with some day-to-day instruction and
general direction for new assignments.

* Interacting with business analysts, product managers, and
both
internal and external clients to verify and clarify requirements and
design decisions.




Minimum Qualifications


* Full understanding of software engineering industry practices
and standards.

* 3 - 5 years of software development experience

* 2 or more years OO development experience

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to be self-motivated




Position Specific Technical Qualifications


* Web application design and development with J2EE MVC and
Struts.

* Web GUI development experience including extensive
interaction
with business logic layers

* Experience with complex transaction GUIs.

* Experience developing GUIs to control separate transactional
engines.

* Knowledge of XML

* Experience with relational databases (Preferably Oracle) and
SQL.

* Experience with WebLogic a plus

Job Summary


This position provides QA and Technical expertise for system
integration
connectivity within GHX to test and support Provider/Hospital
environments and Supplier ERP systems interconnecting within the GHX
trading environment.



This person will leverage strong understanding of IT systems, system
integration expertise to test product functionality between these
systems using EDI or XML interfaces and other standard protocols (http,
ftp) into the GHX ASP solution.



Expert skills regarding the detecting and preventing product defects as
well as insuring high-level system quality is required. Implement
Quality Assurance methodologies at the project and team level under the
direction of the Sr Manager of Quality Assurance.




Essential Duties and Responsibilities


* Ability to seek alternative sources of information
* Create Test Summary reports based upon test data, metrics, and
trend analysis
* Configure software test tools and perform application
administration
* Provide support in the administration and maintenance of a QA
test lab
* Create Defect Management reports describing product testing and
issue resolutions
* Conduct testing using multiple test methodologies
* Isolate software problems, writing clear and detailed defect
reports
* Validate issues reported as fixed
* Create, execute and maintain automated test scripts
* Create, execute and maintain complex test cases for products
and/or internal applications
* Create and maintain test plans
* Suggest and implement innovative approaches for problem
resolution
* Create and interpret test and error logs
* Create and maintain checklists and status reports
* Provide support and suggestions for continuously improving the
process for defect tracking and reporting
* Review and provide input on the accuracy and clarity of user
documentation
* Test products according to Engineering and business
specifications
* Organize and manage multiple and competing tasks, priorities and
deadlines within own domain
* Recommend product improvements and\or possible defect solutions
* Develops expertise in the test environment, such as operating
systems, browsers, databases, network configuration, HTML, XML, etc.
* Train less-experienced staff members and internal or external
customers


Minimum Qualifications




* The ability to perform in a dynamic and "process-lite"
environment to support the testing needs of a multibillion-dollar
transactional exchange

* Working knowledge of hardware and software systems,
components and multiple platforms

* Analytical and investigative problem-solving skills and the
tenacity to work to the resolution of complex tasks

* Strong experience with various adapter technologies

* Intermediate experience with SQL and Unix

* Experience working with Java applications

* The ability to create and maintain automated tests,
preferably in QTP

* The ability to assume responsibility for project assignments

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Strong time management skills

* Quick learner

* A willingness to accept instruction and mentoring

Job Summary




Candidates will be responsible for multiple project assignments
utilizing the BEA Weblogic and/or like environments, possibly
including:
(1) Designing and developing J2EE B2B application solutions, (2)
Analyzing business requirements and formulating supporting design,
design documentation, (3) Supporting and contributing to a J2EE
application framework, and (4) Augment implementations with supporting
unit tests as well as system test specifications and implementations.



Close interaction with Business Analysts and Quality Assurance will be
required to architect, develop, and design applications.




Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Demonstrated:



- Web application design and development

- Java EJB, Servlet / JSP, Struts development

- Object Oriented design and implementation

- Understanding and support of a full product life-cycle

- Use of structured design methodologies

- Understanding of component and/or service based architectures



Strong:



- Understanding of SOAP based Web services

- Experience with SQL
- Knowledge of XML and XML Schemas
