Testing
* Create test plans, test data sets and perform automated testing to ensure all components of the system meet specifications.
* Work directly with the personnel and business partners to resolve issues identified through the testing.
* Formalize test plans and implements testing procedures.

Other Duties
* Analyze, install and test commercial software for internal use.
* Write and maintain operational procedures and troubleshooting procedures.
* Other duties as assigned.

Environment:
Company databases include Oracle 9i on Linux and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 on Windows
Oracle 9i will migrate to 10g in 2007. Oracle databases directly integrate with multiple applications including Oracle Financials, Documentum, Policy Administration, Thunderhead and Informatica. Databases also integrate with Microsoft SQL Server.
ASP, JAVA, ColdFusion, VB
Oracle/SQL experience
Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 or Oracle, Windows NT or Unix, HTML and Java. Experience with Cold Fusion is desirable
J2EE enterprise applications, relational databases, business applications using SQL, and Rational Unified Process

Job Description:
The selected candidate will be responsible for testing storage systems. Responsibilities can include formulation of test plans and test strategies, and contributing to development project requirements. Along with other members of the Test Team, the Candidate will be responsible for setting up the test environment, executing tests, providing test status and detailed test reports, and assisting development engineers in fault isolation and resolution. Additional responsibilities may include testing Microsoft Windows and Unix applications and utilities with storage system.

Qualifications:
- Candidates should have 3-5 years of responsibility in a product and/or system testing environment, with an understanding of network storage elements and principles.

- B.S. degree in Computer Science, EE/CE or equivalent Technical degree.

- Candidate should have experience in testing and debugging of software in advanced server environments.

Knowledge & Skills:

- Knowledge and hands-on implementation experience with Windows O/S. Familiarity with Linux operating systems.

- Exposure to troubleshooting and interfacing with storage systems.

- Understanding of storage technologies such as RAID, replication, snapshot techniques, and storage area networks.

- Hands-on TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting experience.

For consideration, skills in the following areas are beneficial:

- Oracle testing experience;

- Database setup,

- test and administration experience with Oracle;

- In-depth experience with MS Exchange or MS SQL;

- Back-up applications experience;

- Data migration tool experience;

- Familiarity with SNMP and management frameworks such as HP OpenView and Tivoli.

- Test processes and methodologies;



Experience in at least one of the following:

- Solaris, Linux, Enterprise Linux, Back up applications; MCSE, Oracle Certification, Cisco Certification

Analytical/Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills; written and oral. Candidate will be self-motivated, customer oriented, resourceful and enthusiastic. Should possess sound troubleshooting techniques
