Job Description:
The Sr Database Technologist II (Database Engineer/DBA) will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining applications using Oracle Forms 9i, Oracle Portal, java server pages (JSP) using Dreamweaver, Oracle Single Sign-on, Oracle 9i Reports and Oracle Application Server 10G, in a web environment. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for ClearQuest administration supporting multiple aspects of the program. The candidate will be required to work all aspects of the system life cycle from design to production support. The candidate will be responsible for basic database administration tasks including routine checking of hardware and software status, troubleshooting system problems, scheduling maintenance and coordinating down-time for maintenance activities.
Basic Qualifications/Required Skills:
-Requires a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an applicable technical subject, or equivalent work experience, plus a minimum of six years of related professional work experience.
-Six or more years experience designing, building and maintaining applications on Oracle and/or Sybase database.
-Two or more years experience designing, building and maintaining applications on Oracle database.
-Requires two or more years experience successfully advising management and customers on database development issues.
-Demonstrated experience in effectively presenting technical information to non-technical audiences.
-Demonstrated ability to produce solutions for complex technical database problems.
-REQUIRES US CITIZENSHIP.
-REQUIRES A CURRENT AND ACTIVE TS/SCI SSBI SECURITY CLEARANCE.
