Software Installer Contractor - Can work from home or come in to our
office.
A contractor is needed to create automated software installers for the
following:
Target Operating Systems: Mac OS 10.4.8 and higher, Windows XP SP2,
Windows
Vista Home edition
Target Media: installers are to be CD-ROM based to allow automatic
installation upon insertion of CD-ROM
Components:
- Adobe AIR runtime (Mac & Windows)
- AIR application file (contains all application resources)
- Application content (databases, image files, pdfs, etc.)
- Adobe Acrobat Reader v8.1
Requirements:
- Upon insertion of the CD-ROM into a Mac or PC computer, automatically
begin the installation process
- Handle detection of existing installation of Adobe AIR runtime (older
or
newer than version in installer) and take appropriate action to update
to
compatible version that AIR application uses or bypass if already
compatible
with AIR application
- Handle full seamless installation of AIR runtime, AIR application,
application content, and Adobe Reader
- Handle detection of existing version of Adobe Reader and provide
option to
upgrade to v8.1 (on CD) or bypass installation.
- Full progress/activity indicators throughout the installation
process.
- Handle full seamless un-installation of runtime, application,
application
content, and Adobe Reader
Desired Experience:
- Experience with InstallAnywhere is desired, but experience with other
tools to meet the above requirements will also be considered.
- Experience with CD-ROM based installers
- Experience with Adobe AIR application installation
