MANAGEMENT AND REPORTING STRUCTURE:

The Asset Management Specialist will report directly to the Manager,
Assurance Control.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Conducts activities related to the management of IS hardware and
software inventories including software licensing, asset movement, and
asset configurations.

*Assists in the acquisition, deployment, management, and disposal of all IS assets.

*Conducts research to identify trends associated with IS assets.

*Assists in the budgeting for asset acquisition and deployment.

*Coordinates asset-related activities with the Change Management team.

*Maintains the asset management database and insures accuracy and
completeness.

*Develops reports on a scheduled or ad-hoc basis related to asset types
and quantities, configurations, licenses, usage, vintage, location, etc.


*Utilizes automated tools to conduct discovery and inventory of IS
assets, both hardware and software.

*Works closely with other organizations (i.e., Purchasing, Finance,
etc.) to develop and implement procedures to manage and integrate asset
acquisition, disposition, licensing, life cycle management, budgeting,
and other related activities.

*Evaluates the effectiveness of asset management activities,
investigates and reports on industry trends and standards and develops
proposals, as necessary, for process improvement

PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

*Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or equivalent relevant
experience.

*At least 3 plus years experience in IS or IT or an equivalent
combination of education and work experience.

*Requires a comprehensive knowledge of IS operations, business
applications, and inventory management.

*Requires a knowledge of Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset
Management.

*Excellent communication and documentation skills.

*Demonstrated analytical abilities and strong judgment.

*Ability to analyze problems in situations where the symptoms are not
of
a standard or familiar nature, therefore requiring independent thought
and logical trouble shooting methods.

*Ability to discuss detailed information with internal and external
customers.

*Ability to write standard documentation using established formats.

*Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet business demands.

*ITIL Foundation Certification is highly desirable
