SUMMARY
Market Force Information is an emerging provider of store-level,
customer experience information for retailers, restaurants, consumer
packaged goods companies and the financial and hospitality communities.
Market Force's strategy is to acquire mystery shopping companies and
invest in technology to further enhance the value and utility of the
information it provides to clients.
Market Force Information is seeking a hands-on Software Configuration
Manager for our downtown Boulder headquarters. Working closely with
the
Technical Project Manager and Development Team, the SCM is responsible
for all software configuration management related activities. The SCM
will manage software releases in a highly dynamic environment
maintaining both scheduled and ad hoc releases. The SCM will monitor
all
releases, growing our capabilities to manage multiple releases and
enhance our change control processes while maintaining version control
systems. This position reports to the Director of Software Development.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
* Work closely with technical project manager, development teams
in several locations, QA, and other teams to understand the project
requirements and coordinate timing, dependencies and issues
* Coordinate and plan build and release schedules
* Define, implement and manage release policies, procedures and
tools
* Manage the release process across environments
* Coordinate with software developers and DBA's to ensure modified
code meets requirements for release to production and to maintain
release history
* Introduce process changes as appropriate to help facilitate the
delivery of quality products
* Ensure and prioritize scope of release in accordance with
business requirement documents
* Create and communicate release documentation
* Configure, maintain, and administer version control tool,
Subversion
Requirements:
* BS in computer science or related area of study
* 5+ years experience recommending and implementing SCM best
practices
* 1+ years configuration management with .NET related projects
* Excellent written and verbal communication, team and people
skills
* Solid knowledge of the software development life cycle and
project management methodologies
* Must be able to work in a high energy, fast pace, early stage
company environment
* Schedule flexibility: Releases will require support outside of
normal operational hours
