JOB DESCRIPTION
McKesson has recently formed an entrepreneurial, advanced technology
group to create ground-breaking solutions for the healthcare
industry. The team will focus on creating new applications to manage
emerging challenges and opportunities in healthcare and on applying
new technologies to the delivery of care.

Candidates will work closely with senior software engineers and will
be responsible for full life cycle-- software design, development,
test and documentation.

Responsibilities included:
• Prototype designs quickly
• Independent design and development of major components of the
application, based on Product Management requirements
• Learn and adopt standard technologies, including Horizon
Architecture
• Follow adopted methodologies and processes, including
documentation of technical designs and release materials,
participate and conduct both design reviews and code reviews
• Analyze defects and determine root cause, providing resolutions
• Communicate status to management; coordinate with internal and
external teams

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• 6-7 years experience in full life cycle, software development
• Minimum 5 years experience in Java and/or C#
• SQL experience
• Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting software issues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent negotiation and thorough follow-up skills are a must
• Extensive knowledge and experience in software methodologies
• Experience with decision support systems is a plus
• Healthcare application background is a plus

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Four-year degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent combination
of experience and education

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Sustaining Engineer will develop, diagnose, maintain and resolve
current McKesson software product lines. Duties included analysis,
programming (C++), debugging and modifications. As product line is
updated, candidate will need to be willing to role into a C# /Java
role.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• 6+ years of software engineering in a sustaining engineering
capacity
• 6+ years of C++
• Extensive UNIX command line experience including command
line debugger, text editor (VI, emacs), and compilation tools
• Experience with UNIX operations systems including HP-UX and
AIX
• XVT is a huge plus
• Willingness to learn new technologies

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent
experience.
