What You Offer
We are looking for a skilled SQL Developer to join our team in Boulder. We build websites, web applications, mobile apps and products for the financial markets. You would be designing database schemas and writing stored procedures to help with the incoming 5 billion hits a month. Like Big Data? We have thousands of incoming data feeds, and we work hard to keep our multiple data centers purring along at sub-100millisecond response times, with all of that data replicated in real time across them.
We also keep a few side projects up our sleeves, and are always looking at ways to transform the financial markets with our tools and innovation.
What you are capable of:
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Willing to become a fellow Zen master at writing stored procedures and optimizing t-sql code.
- Be self-motivated, and willing to have some responsibility. But also know when to ask for help or a code review.
- Communicate and collaborate with others effectively. In-person, email, IM, your fellow code warriors want to be able to bounce ideas off of you.
- Work under deadline to write and release high-quality code, and get to see the benefits of your work used by real people on a massive scale.
- Be willing to learn new things, whether it's about the markets, a new programming language or technique, or an entirely new approach to solving problems.
- Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a comparable field, as well as a few years of experience under your belt.
Other skills that we keep an eye out for include: Experience with deployment and build tools, ability to refactor existing code, experience with other database platforms (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle), experience with new takes on data storage (Mongo, Riak, Couch, Redis). Financial knowledge is always helpful, but not required.

Requirements:
* Solid understanding of client-side development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
* Experience utilizing frameworks like jQuery, jQuery Mobile, and html5shiv
* Ability to develop full-scale applications with .NET/C#, or comparable platforms
* Experience with object-oriented principles and development patterns like MVC
* Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills
* Experience or interest in learning mobile web development a plus
* Demonstrated ability to work and learn independently or as part of a team
* Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
