Summary
We are looking for an experienced professional who is enthusiastic about using smart technologies to advance and redefine the online experience for Level(3) Communications. For this position, you will play an important role in helping design, develop and deliver the next generation web user interfaces. You will be a major contributor in developing new features for defining the online customer experience. This position interacts frequently with product, usability and design teams in a collaborative environment.
Education and Experience
* Education Level: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent;
* Field Of Study: Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
* A combination of education and experience is acceptable
Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
* 3+ years of professional experience with a combination of the following: JavaScript, XML, JSON, Ajax, HTML, CSS3, jQuery (or similar)
* 3+ years experience in web-based software using web containers such as Tomcat
* Experience with cross-platform, cross-browser UI development, performance testing and test automation
* Experience with XML and JSON
* Demonstrable examples of effective, interactive browser-based user interfaces
* Knowledge and experience with open-source applications, utilities and frameworks
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with effective communication and leadership skills
* Demonstrate a passion for software development, high quality code and desire and ability to learn new techniques
* Experience with Java and Spring MVC a plus
* Lead development activity from proof of concept through production deployments
* Continually strive for exceeding customer demands and driving technological advancement in deploying creative solutions
* Identify and communicate creative solutions in anticipation of exceeding customer expectations
