RedZone Software - Application Developer

RedZone Software (www.redzonesoftware.com), a provider of real-time
public safety services, has a contract-to-hire opening in Boulder, CO
for a mid- to high-level Java web application developer. Our core
technology stack is the Liferay portlet framework running under
Apache/Tomcat on CentOS with content support from PostgreSQL/PostGIS and
GeoServer. Professional experience with one of more of these
technologies is required.

The successful candidate will be a quality-conscious, analytical thinker
with a primary commitment to client success. Strong written and verbal
communication skills are essential as effective discussion and clear
documentation are expected on all assigned projects. Achieving a
permanent position will require the proven ability to conceptualize and
implement robust, extensible and reusable solutions.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of professional software development experience with the following:
- Web UI development using java-based frameworks
- REST and SOAP web service implementations
- Apache and Tomcat deployments
- PostgreSQL/PostGIS and SQL
- Eclipse and Subversion development environments

NICE TO HAVE:
General experience and working knowledge of:
- GIS and common geospatial data formats
- The Vaadin framework
- JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- OpenLayers and GoogleMaps APIs
- Geoserver configuration
- Linux server administration
