About this position:
Over the next few months we need to stand up a web-application from foundation to interactive user experience goodness. Choice of stack is up to the person who fills this role, though we need to design for scalability and a possible future mobile component. MVC, right?
We will build up a technical team as resources allow so eventually managing a team will be critical; initially this position is envisioned to be a hands-on architecting and building challenge.
Success for our entrepreneurial clients will come from a platform that guides them through building and activating their tribe of followers, via a managed crowd-investing campaign. We need to make it easy for them to create compelling profiles and engage potential investors.
Success for our investor clients will come from the ability to clearly understand everything about a potential investment, to get any remaining questions answered by the issuer, and then to easily complete an investment through the platform and to monitor future results.
That's where you come in -- if you look at a platform like Kickstarter and say to yourself "sure, I could build that... and then what do we do next?" then come say hello. As a co-founder you would be involved in all strategic decisions and will play a key role in building our company.
This position may require expertise in:
Full web-application stack development, databases, accessible web design, UX, cloud-deployment, mobile applications, game mechanics, web-based messaging, SEO, and learning on the fly!
Past start-up experience is an asset. Personal fit is more important than exact experience match.
