What You Offer
We are looking for a Database Administrator with experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical MS SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate is a team player who can help our developers successfully design, test and deploy database schema, while maintaining and monitoring the SQL servers which are all SQL Server 2005 or later. The position requires a monthly week-long on-call shift rotation which is split with the rest of the DBA team.
We are seeking a candidate who has at least 2 years of MS SQL server DBA experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills and solid T-SQL skills. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of SQL Server 2005+ internals and architecture including replication and mirroring, performance monitoring and tuning. Security auditing, hardware evaluation and purchasing and disaster recovery planning and execution are a plus. Experience with DELL/HP hardware and Equalogic SAN's, Linux/MySQL, Confio Ignite monitoring tools, Idera SQLSafe backup tools and SQL Clustering are helpful.
