TransFirst - Programmer

TransFirst, a leader in merchant and credit card processing is currently
seeking qualified candidate to fill a Programmer 3 position.



Requirements:

* Master's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Engineering
or other Information Technology field.
* At least one year programming experience in languages associated with
specific job.
* Experience working in an IT department with varying complexities of
applications, databases, and environments, including both purchased and
in-house software applications.
* Experience demonstrating excellent analytical, problem-solving,
investigative and research ability.
* Proficiency with these Tools:
o Web technologies and languages: ASP.NET 3.5/2.0/1.1, C#, VB.Net, Web
Services, WCF, AJAX, Linq, ASP.NET MVC 2.0, Silverlight 3.0, Classic
ASP, Visual Basic 6.0, Office Web Component.
o Databases: SQL Server 2008/2005/2000, SQL Server Stored Procedures,
Functions, Triggers DTS/SSIS, ET&L.
o Scripting Languages: VBScript, JavaScript, JQuery.
o Markup Languages: HTML, XML, XPath, XSLT, CSS, XAML.
o Development Tools: Visual Studio .NET 2010/2008/2005, SQL Server
Management Studio.
o Source Controls: TFS, VSS, Rational ClearCase.
o Web Servers: IIS 5.0/6.0/7.0.
o Operating Systems: Windows 7/XP/2000, Windows Server 2008/2003.
o Reporting Tools: SSRS, Microsoft Report Viewer.
o Others: Microsoft Enterprise Library 4.0/2.0, MSBuild 3.5, PGP, Agile.



TRANSFIRST LLC in Broomfield, CO seeks a Programmer 3 to analyze and
evaluate existing or proposed systems and to devise computer programs,
systems and related procedures to process data. Prepares charts and
diagrams to assist in problem analysis, and submits recommendations for
solution. Prepares program specifications and diagrams, and develops
coding logic flowcharts. Encodes, tests, debugs and installs the
operating programs and procedures in coordination with computer
operations and user departments. Primary responsibilities include:
* Developing and maintaining business application programs, which
support TransFirst internal and external customers.
* Write new program code, maintain existing code using prescribed
specifications.
* Evaluate simple interrelationships between programs such as whether a
contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted
results in a related part.
* Confer with users to gain understanding of needed changes or
modifications of existing programs.
* Resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements,
and inclusion of internal checks and controls.
* Write and maintain programming documentation.
* Adhere to standard for development, testing, code promotion and
security.
* Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference.
* Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource.
* Other duties as assigned.
* Job may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of
systems being supported.
