General Purpose

Experienced team member of the business applications group, focusing on supporting the development, maintenance, and support activities in keeping systems stable and functional in addition to increasing functionality for the user community.


Essential Functions


1. Supports business applications through resolving trouble with applications, facilitating
changes to applications through migrations, and supports other IT organizations in
providing support to the business community.

2. Serves as a contributor and member to project teams in the applications area.

3. Completes administration tasks, such as status reporting and documentation.

4. Supports the business community in monitoring and enhancement the
performance of the business applications. This is achieved through resolving priority one and two trouble tickets and providing application expertise in project areas.

5. Research's problems to determine the cause of problems or define problems with
assistance.

6. Recognizes problems as they are/or about to occur and address.

Job Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Incumbent must possess excellent interpersonal and analysis skills. Must be able to work independently as well as on teams. Must be self motivated; people oriented, and demonstrate good oral and written communications skills. Incumbent must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize/reprioritize workloads. Incumbent must be able to work with other IT co-workers and/or end users without supervision. Incumbent must be able to work within one application, without direction and has a basic understanding of the application suite and architecture. Working knowledge of systems development methodologies


Education or Formal Training

Incumbent will have a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, OR equivalent experience and training. Incumbent must have experience and training in both programming and database programming techniques.

Required
• In-depth knowledge of Business Objects XI r 3.1 or higher.
• Understanding of the Business Objects XI security model
• In-depth knowledge of the Xcelsius 2008l.
• Experience with BO security design and implementation, CMS clustering, high-availability, fault-tolerance, BO process management.
• Strong Knowledge of Business Objects applications,(specifically BO Universe development, Web Intelligence reporting, Desktop Intelligence reporting, Crystal Reports, Central Management Console, InfoView)
• Excellent SQL skills required, especially in Oracle database.
• 2+ years of Business Objects XI.
• 2+ years of Crystal Enterprise Architecture, deployment and development experience
• 2 years of experience in Business Objects Server components installation, applying fixes/service packs, performance tuning; Windows a plus
• 2+ year's experience with Data Integrator and Data Services.

Desirable
• Strong Knowledge of the Business Objects XI SDK and JavaScript
• Be able to run execution plan and analyze SQL performance Migration experience from Business Objects 6.5 to Business Objects XI.
• Migration experiences from Crystal Enterprise 2008 to Business Objects XI 3 a plus.
• Experience designing Disaster Recovery environment for Business Objects; Crystal Enterprise a plus
• Experience in Financial reporting system (Peoplesoft) is preferred.
