Scottrade - QA Manager

Scottrade, Inc. has a Quality Assurance Manager position available in Westminster, CO. The main purpose of this position is to set the direction and manage the daily operations of Scottrade's Quality Assurance group. The manager is responsible for overseeing the testing of all Internet Trading Platforms and Mid-tier applications (or all Internal and Market Data Applications). This role is also responsible for the test coordination and execution with third party software providers to ensure efficient and accurate application integration is customer ready.

Responsibilities:

* Manages and administers the quality assurance process by ensuring policies, standards and procedures are published and used. Gather project completion metrics to measure the success of the test efforts and provide supporting KPIs.
* Manages the resource assignment and allocation across all project and support demands. This includes manual testers/analysts and automation developers.
* Primary liaison with third party software providers to ensure quality assurance processes are established and used, and scheduled expectations are met.
* Provide input to annual and quarterly PDS reviews, complete compensation requests and align training and development opportunities for associates to expand their professional capability.
* Support the planning and management of all test environments (includes code, data, OS, browser, etc) as changes are being implemented. Have a holistic view of the impacts across multiple projects.
* Provides input and direction on continuous process and procedure improvements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Proficient in general management knowledge and skills such as departmental planning, personnel administration, and information technology.
* Proficient in understanding system development lifecycle, and how it corresponds to software testing methodologies such as Agile, Incremental, or Waterfall.
* Comprehensive knowledge of application debugging from a technical and/or business perspective.
* Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to lead a fast paced dynamic team-oriented environment.
* Working knowledge of Quality Center best practices.

Education and Experience:

* Experience with Brokerage or Financial Services industry.
* Bachelor's Degree in Information Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 5+ years leadership experience within the IT field.
* 3+ years experience with online technology projects required.
* 3+ years experience with software testing methologies required.
* 2+ years quality assurance management experience.
