Mid-Senior Level Software Engineer

engineers that work collaboratively for continued development on and
support of a well-respected product in an emerging industry. The
candidate must be able to collaborate with others on the team, take
initiative and responsibility in solving problems, and be willing to
wear a number of hats.
Job Description:
This position entails new development, maintenance and refactoring of an
existing production system to support rapidly escalating demands on the
system. This position will likely involve working on an architecture
migration from classic ASP to an ASP.NET architecture. Individual will
continue development of the existing web application and be involved in
design and development of new modules. Ability to learn quickly and
contribute to scaling of existing application is essential. This
position requires the ability to multi-task in supporting production
operations while performing development work.
Required Skills and Experience
* 6+ years experience in web applications development, with an
emphasis on database applications
* 3+ years experience with ASP and ADO development
* Have strong database experience with MS SQL Server 2005.
* Expertise with TSQL complex queries, stored procedures and
functions
* Have experience developing a large scalable database-centric
application
* Experienced in scaling systems
* ASP .NET experience
* Proficiency with Visual Basic
* Be strongly committed to team deliverables
* Ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks
* Work closely and collaboratively with other team members
* Knowledge of secure development practices
* Firm understanding of industry best practices
Desired:
* Sound understanding of architecture principles desired
* SQL Reporting Services
* Web 2.0 experience
* Understanding of financial and accounting concepts.
* Experience with financial industry
* Familiarity with SAS70 compliance requirements
