What You Offer:



Wall Street on Demand, Inc. is seeking a Production Systems Support
Engineer.

This position provides support for Wall Street on Demand's Data
Acquisition systems. These systems process incoming and outgoing data
feeds containing financial information. Monitoring, resubmission and
problem escalation of incoming and outgoing automated data feeds.
Employees typically perform routine tasks requiring an understanding of
moderately complex concepts, logical thinking, and the use of system
software tools. Contact with customers involves responding to trouble
calls, recommending solutions and/or dispatching problems to the
appropriate systems administrator or systems programmer. Employees may
require direct technical management and mentoring for more difficult
tasks.

Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 2 years higher education.



Ability to troubleshoot complex situations. Ability to manage multiple
priorities and projects simultaneously. Ability to maintain patience
and composure in a fast paced environment. Excellent written and oral
communication skills. Strong organizational, planning, and analytical
skills. Experience with HTTP and FTP. Experience with Unix / Linux
command line utilities. Experience with Scripting, SQL, XML and Web
Technologies. Equipment directly used: Windows XP, Windows Server
2000/3, SQL Server 2005.

We are currently seeking .NET Developers



What You Offer

2-3 years of experience with ASP.NET, ASP, C#, handcoded XHTML, CSS and
Javascript, and Web architecture. Advanced knowledge of Object-oriented
Programming, usage and creation of Web controls, experience with Ajax
implementation and design patterns, experience with templating,
modularity and reuse of code in a team environment, experience with
performance analysis and tuning. Dreams in Reflection and
Attribute-based programming. An understanding of systems like DWR, Dojo,
Prototype, Tibco GI, Ruby on Rails. A willingness to work with
Microsoft's platform, and a desire to correct it where it's broken.
