Job description:Principal Responsibilities May Include:
*Perform the creation and execution of standard test environments, test plans, and test cases.
*Strong SQL scripting skills for managing and automating data driven tests.
*Perform and provide expertise in conducting unit, integration, system, regression, load, performance and UAT testing. And perform/provide expertise in testing requirements, design and other project deliverables.
*Create, enhance, and/or execute advanced automated testing solutions.
*Assist with performing analysis, design, and implementation of new or modified QA methodologies to improve ability to respond to an increasing business need to deliver speed to market with an evolving application/solution/product mix. Exhibit flexibility to support multiple project assignments while adapting to frequently changing business initiatives.
*Provide technical expertise to assist QA, developers, project leads, infrastructure, business analysts, and business users in the delivery of high quality solutions.
*Participate in gathering project requirements. Ensure the business requirements are comprehensive and testable and assist in the conversion of business requirements into technical requirements.
*Partner and build relationships within the technology group, PMO and a variety of business groups to assist in achieving mutual goals and objectives.
*Seek out information, ask questions, and seek feedback to determine how and why things are done in order to analyze ways to improve processes and increase efficiency.
*Acquire and maintain an in-depth knowledge of business workflows/processes, application features/interfaces/functions/flows, and the mutual fund industry.
Competencies For Success:
*Exhibit a strong understanding and ability to apply proven QA techniques and methods.
*Proven ability to test applications with demonstrated understanding of varied system life cycles (Waterfall, RUP, JAD, Agile, XP. etc.).
*Possess competence in combination of tools and techniques. Experience and/or in-depth knowledge in:
*Different testing methods and understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of each
*Setting up automated test environments and using standard QA automation tools (Mercury QuickTestPro/Win Runner, Rational Robot/TestStudio, etc).
*Writing data-driven test cases using SQL queries.
*Iterative and/or test-driven development lifecycles.
*UML, use cases, process maps, etc.
*Possesses and has demonstrated a working knowledge of databases and other technical infrastructure components (i.e., Mainframe OS/390, Sybase, Oracle, Java/J2EE, PowerBuilder or 4GL technology, Web Standards, Messaging and/or Rules Based Technologies, etc).
*Possesses and has demonstrated a working knowledge of a variety of operating systems, (i.e., Windows, HP Unix, SUN Solaris, Linux, etc).
*Experience / knowledge of Change Management Process and Tools (Endevor, CVS, PVCS/Dimensions, TeamSite).
*Ability to offer constructive feedback in requirements, design, test plans and code reviews.
*Proven ability to take completely undefined tasks, structure those tasks, determine the constraints and find effective and optimal solutions.
*Proven track record that demonstrates continual growth in technical, business analysis and quality assurance skills.
*Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills.
*Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
*Capable of working independently as well as an effective team member/leader.
*Minimum 3 years quality assurance experience.
*College Degree, Bachelor level or above preferred, in technical field or relevant financial services education.

Position Responsibilities:
*Participate in all aspects of the system development life cycle, with specific focus on technical requirements, application design, estimation, development, unit / integration testing, operations planning and deployment.
*Participate in various development projects focused on enhancing OFIs web site's functionality, content management and delivery systems.
*Work independently or with a team to complete assigned site enhancements.

Competencies For Success:
*Proficient in SQL and RDBMs (Sybase, Oracle)
*4+ years experience supporting production applications -all aspects of production support
*4+ years experience in Java/J2EE programming and design (Servlets, JSPs, WAR, etc)
*4+ years of experience with Java application servers, including debugging of deployment and operational issues
*4+ years experience with traditional web standards such as HTTP, HTTPS, Dynamic HTML, XHTML, JavaScript and Cascading Style Sheets
*Strong OO design background including knowledge of design patterns and UML
*Well versed in complementary technologies, such as UNIX, relational database systems and interfacing with mainframe back ends
*Solid understanding of system lifecycle methodologies to include agile, waterfall, RAD, etc
*Experience with different testing methods and understands strengths and weaknesses of each
*Strong trouble shooting skills
*Excellent interpersonal and written & oral communication skills
*Capable of working independently as well as an team member/leader
Additional Preferred Skills:
*Experience with various J2EE frameworks such as Struts or Java Server Faces, AJAX
*Experience in the use of various design and development tools, such as Enterprise Architect, Rational Rose, Ant, Eclipse, CVS
*Experience with content management systems and content delivery systems such as ATG Personalization, Interwoven Teamsite
*Experience with supporting auxiliary web site systems including monitoring, metrics and search experience with Weblogic 8.1 and Weblogic 9.
*Experience with database ETL and other data movement technologies is a plus
*Familiarity with one or more server-side scripting technologies (e.g PHP)
