We are currently looking to add a JR Network Admin to our team.
Responsibilities:
* Under direction, maintain availability of critical services
* Under direction, maintain and administer VPN for connectivity of
road warriors and remote offices
* Under direction, maintain VPN for remote system management
* As part of a team, maintain collocation facility space, power,
and network connectivity
* On call rotation
* Install hardware, operating systems, peripherals, cards
* Under direction, install and turn up of telephony/data circuits,
T1, T3/DS3, OC3
* Troubleshoot network problems using available tools
* Internal desktop support, IP phone support
* Monitor and respond to internal networking and paging systems
Desired Skills:
* 1+ years of experience in three or more of the following areas
Linux exposure strongly preferred:
* Linux: One or more of: Red Hat EL, CentOS, Ubuntu,
Gentoo, iptables
* Windows: 2k, 2k3, XP, Vista, AD, Exchange
* Cisco: IOS, 7200, 3600 series routers, AS5400, VoIP, SIP
phones, switches
* Networking: TCP/IP, routing, CIDR, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VPN,
IPSec, OpenVPN
* VoIP: Asterisk, SIP, RTP
* Sysadmin: Shell scripting (bash), Python, C, make
* Hardware: PC, able to build a box from spare parts
* Cabling: 568 A/B, Ethernet, Ethernet crossover, T1, T1
crossover, physically able to run and make cable, competent in the use
of crimpers and punch down tools
* Additional Software: Nagios, Cacti, Smokeping, Ethereal
/ Wire Shark, Tcpdump, pfsense, *BSD, pf
