Sr. Storage Administrator


This position provides senior storage administration functions for the
DigitalGlobe IT Production Operations and Projects teams. Day to day
tasks include storage project implementation, storage administration
(DAS, NAS, SAN), and documentation for a complex storage environment.
Strong project delivery skills are essential.



Key Responsibilities:

* Administer the storage infrastructure.
* Lead and assist with the implementation of storage projects.
* Purchase and implementation/deployment of all storage related
equipment:
* SAN storage and FC switches
* NAS
* DAS
* Monitoring tools
* Work with the other IT teams to discuss, plan and coordinate
activities related to upgrades and other maintenance on the storage
infrastructure.
* Assist with the documentation of the existing and growing
storage infrastructure.
* Assist with the training and support of other Production
Operations and Projects personnel as required.

Experience Requirements:

This position requires a minimum of 7 to 10 years Storage Administration
experience working in a medium to high complexity production environment
with at least 4 nines uptime requirements.



Technical Skills:

Required:

* SAN - e.g., Hitachi storage platforms (9990/TagmaStore, 95xx,
AMS1000, WMS100), Cisco and Brocade FC switches, Hitachi Tuning Manager
software
* NAS - e.g., Netapp 940C/V3020 and Ontap 7.0+, BlueArc HNAS
2100/2200, Isilon
* DAS (thorough knowledge of storage h/w such as SATA, FC, SCSI,
SAS).

Highly Desirable:

* Quantum StorNext filesystem.
* Sun Solaris 9/10 servers and SGI IRIX. (e.g., Mid-range through
Enterprise class).
* RedHat ES/WS servers.

Education Desired:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related degree or equivalent
experience

Additional qualifications needed:

US Citizenship, ability to obtain US Security Clearance.

Requirements:

Partner with HR Strategic Business Partners and senior management team
to develop a proactive recruiting strategy for sourcing methods, refine
job requirements for each key position and determine effective means to
develop candidate pools for each of these positions

Responsible for building a talent pipeline across functional areas,
multiple disciplines and various levels of positions from entry level to
"C" level

Utilize a variety of proven recruiting and sourcing strategies to
include internet research, cold calling and networking to fill job
openings and ensure cost-effective, creative and strategic candidate
sourcing plans for every business unit

Experienced in recruiting I.T. professionals (with a thorough
understanding of Information Technology, and its corresponding terms and
acronyms)

Attend conferences, association meetings, user groups, job fairs and
other events to build relationships, gain market visibility, strengthen
employment branding and fully understand the local market

Work with HR and recruiting team during college recruiting season to
secure strong entry level talent for the organization

Manage execution of web based applicant tracking system (Taleo)

Perform pre-screen phone calls, interview scheduling and behavioral
interviewing techniques

Facilitate candidate debriefing sessions with business partners, hiring
manager and interview team while providing recommendations on candidate
selection and placement



Qualifications:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience with full life-cycle recruiting,
including the strategic sourcing of active and passive candidates

Experience with technical recruiting

Bachelors degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
