Coleman Natural Foods, LLC. (CNF), with its corporate office located in
the Denver West Office Park - Golden, CO offers a wide variety of
premium natural and organic meats, and this collection of meats are
raised on ranches and farms dedicated to environmentally sound, friendly
growing practices. Our animals are fed a strictly all-vegetarian diet
and are never subjected to antibiotics and growth hormones.
Our corporate office employs an elite group of professionals who are
charged with taking our company to the next level, and we want you to be
a part of this model. We are currently looking for a production MS SQL
DBA with database development experience.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Must work with minimal direct supervision, manages, monitors, and
maintains database infrastructure across the enterprise. Ensures
adequate performance, integrity, stability, availability, and
recoverability of all databases. Designs, codes, and implements
modifications to database structures, objects, and data. Provides
technical support for a mixed platform legacy system.
* Design, implement, and monitor database management, maintenance,
and monitoring plans. Ensure adequate performance, integrity,
stability, availability, and recoverability of all databases.
* Design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and document backup /
recovery plans and data maintenance / purge procedures.
* Design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and document database
structures and objects for both new and existing databases.
* Design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and document system
interfaces.
* Create technical specifications for new systems development.
Update and maintain existing systems documentation library as needed.
* Support systems conversions by extracting, transforming,
translating, and loading data between systems or database environments.
* Create reports and / or data extracts as needed.
* Troubleshoot database and application issues. Provide support and
/ or guidance as needed. Be available after normal business hours as
needed.
* Maintain consistency across Development, Test, Stage, Production
and other database environments.
* Stay abreast of advances in technology.
* Other duties as assigned by manager.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/JOB TRAINING
* Four year degree in CIS, MIS, Engineering or related field
required.
* Minimum of five (5) years related experience as a DBA required
* Advanced technical skills including:
* Microsoft SQL Server 200X administration including partitioning,
replication, clustering, and mirroring
* Microsoft SQL Server 200X development including stored procedures,
functions, triggers, and views
* Microsoft Windows Server 200X configuration and administration
* Fluency in T-SQL
* (DTS) Data Transformation Services, (SSIS) SQL Server Integration
Services, (SSRS) SQL Server Reporting Services, (SSAS) SQL Server
Analysis Services
* Development experience with CA Clipper v5.x (or other xBase
languages), Mediator v4.x is a plus.
* Understanding of both OLTP and OLAP data modeling and database
design / administration.
* Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and
non-technical resources.
* Experience with industrial production technologies such as scanners
and scales is preferred but not required.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and detail oriented with a
self-starting attitude required.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high change, entrepreneurial
environment.
* Ability to contribute and wear ‘multiple’ hats within
an IT organization required.
