Public Service Credit Union - IT Tech

Public Service Credit Union has a full-time IT Tech opening in our South Metro Denver office.

The IT Tech provides technical software, hardware and network problem resolution by performing question/problem diagnosis and guiding users through step-by-step solutions.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves Level One problems for users of the core system, personal computer software and hardware, VOIP, and network; effectively communicates solutions to end-users.
2. Provides one-on-one end user problem resolution over the phone or in person for credit union approved software and hardware.
3. Delivers, tags, sets up, and assists in the configuration of end-user PC desktop hardware, software and peripherals.
4. Diagnoses and resolves end-user network or local printer problems, PC hardware problems and core system, e-mail, Internet, and local-area network access problems.
5. Coordinates timely repair of PC computer equipment covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements.
6. Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Experience 1-3 years of IT technician or help desk experience and demonstrated knowledge of IT Level One problem solving experience is required. A significant level of trust and diplomacy is also required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.

Education A high school diploma is required. A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school is preferred.
