Responsibilities

Collaboratively work with development teams to design and implement marketing database solutions.​
Implement database change requests, apply patches, and resolve exceptions, alerts and issues.​
Experience performing Oracle installations, upgrades, and installing patches.​
Proactively perform database optimization, administration and maintenance including partitioning strategies, indexing, SQL statement tuning, database tuning, etc.​
Work with internal IT operations teams to troubleshoot network and server issues and to optimize the database environment including recovery, Oracle error investigation and resolution.​
Monitor database server capacity and performance and make infrastructure and architecture recommendations to management.​
Enforce database change management standards including promotions from development to QA and from QA to production.​
Provide development and production support to troubleshoot day-to-day database or related application issues.​
Maintain physical database models inherent to client specific instances.​
Stay current with latest technologies and industry best practices.​


Bachelor's degree and/​or equivalent experience required
5 or more years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator managing data warehouses required
Strong skills in optimization, database sizing, capacity planning, backup and recovery and troubleshooting required
Experience in the installation, patching and maintenance of Oracle RAC and ASM required
Extensive knowledge of SQL and PL/​SQL required
Experience with data warehousing, data integration, data import and relational data modeling required
Knowledge of/​experience with SAN technologies and I/​O optimization techniques a plus
Strong analytical, design and debugging skills required
Deadline focused, detail oriented, well organized and self motivated
Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and manage time efficiently
Must be a self-starter and eager to learn
Effective in a team setting or as an individual contributor
