McKesson - Oracle DBA

McKesson Provider Technologies is looking to add three Oracle Development/Production DBA's to their Upgrades team. They will be responsible for the planning, data validation, and migration of McKesson Horizon Clinicals customers from the 7.6 or 7.8 release of their software to their 10.1 then 10.3 release. This is a sixteen week process, and they will have between three to four projects running simultaneously. This DBA will responsible but not limited to the following duties.

Performs Production Database migration to new RAC hardware/new OS, Production Database conversion to new customer software versions, perform trigger based replication from production to new RAC databases, maintain production 24x7 Oracle Databases with 99.9% uptime for hospital automation of live
patient encounters, surgeries, medications etc.. They will also perform flashback of database to allow customer to evaluate conversion of production database before committing to final steps and cutover to production. Complete RMAN cloning of production databases to local/remote hosts, then debug and edit PL/SQL to allow conversion process to continue. Additionally they will be responsible for database/SQL performance tuning and application troubleshooting, also perform Korn Shell scripting and debugging for minor upgrades and conversions, and finally create and remove RAC clustered databases. They will also trouble shoot trunkated data, wrong data types, duplicate data, index constraints, and primary key constraints.
