Microsoft Systems Engineer - Basic Job Purpose: Under general direction,
formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and
fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of business systems and
industry requirements. Develops or modifies moderately complex
information systems.



This job description is really old...I'm working on getting a new one. I

Compellent will be given first consideration. This is a six month
contract position.



Basic Job Purpose: Responsible for overall evaluation, tactical and
strategic planning, design, recommendation, testing, implementation, and
capacity, performance and availability of the network architecture while
adhering to company and overall strategic goals.

Essential Functions: 1) Responsible for the infrastructure of a
multi-protocol networking environment including technology review,
telecommunications design in LAN and WAN, remote computing, performance,
capacity planning functions, providing consultation, project management,
and following industry standards. 2) Broad range of LAN/WAN and desktop
knowledge including Unix, Exchange, Windows Server, firewall systems,
Frame relay, routers, hubs, switches, token ring, Ethernet, TCP/IP, BGP
routing, SMTP, and POP3. 3) Understanding of Client-Server solutions
that support distributed databases and that integrate with the LAN/WAN.
4) Strong working knowledge of the AD Domain architecture and security.
5) Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and technologies;
research/assess available network technologies in relation to the
company's current and future needs. 6) Ability to lead complex
networking projects. Ensure adherence to Corporate Technology Project
Standard Practices. 7) Compare costs, recommend/select specific
products, and negotiate purchase agreements. 8) Establish standards and
guidelines. 9) Ensures that environment changes are controlled, utilize
the change management process, and meet service levels. 10) Communicate
and coordinate network schedules, and downtime to users. Inform
customers regarding the status of their requests, ensure tracking
software is updated with current information on request status. 11)
Document the LAN/WAN network architecture including hardware,
connectivity, server operating systems, software use and configuration,
and security configuration. 12) Ability to align technology based
solutions with new and existing business requirements. 13) Present
issues, decision factors and recommendations to management. 14) Adhere
to defined service levels and asset management policies and procedures.
15) Assist with technical reviews for new asset purchases. 16) Provide
leadership and assistance to other network technicians and customers.
17) Perform on-call duties and system implementations and upgrades that
may occur after normal business hours and weekends as required to
minimize business impact 18) Other duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Sciences Engineering or
related field and/or commensurate experience..

Experience: 4 + years with Network architecture including, tactical and
strategic planning, technical services for hardware and software, and
production support. 3 + years experience with support and administration
with Windows NT/2000/2003 Server, Windows Workstations, MS Exchange,
TCP/IP, routers, hubs, and switches. Extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN and
multiplatform environments, peripheral device knowledge.

Preferred Certifications: Cisco CCNA &CCNP, Microsoft MCSE 2003, Foundry
FNCNE, CheckPoint CPCSA

Skills: - Strong technical aptitude - Strong analytical, judgment and
problem solving skills. - Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Proficient PC skills including MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint


Physical Activities/Working Conditions: Travel required as needed. Must
be able to lift 50 pounds Requires mobility, dexterity for installations
moves.

I3 Voice Engineer - 6 month contract


The I3 Voice Engineer will be responsible for engineering, designing,
configuring implementing and supporting Interactive Intelligence
technologies systems and solutions.



Essential Functions:



Perform project and support tasks; configuration, and on-site
Implementation of Interactive Intelligence products and solutions

Design, install & configure network and telephony devices in compliance
using best practices and in accordance with company standards

Responsible for maintenance to and enhancements of the Interactive
Intelligence (I-3) system 3.0

Troubleshoots system issues, determines root cause, repairs, and
escalates to Network Architects or vendors when necessary.

Experience:



2-3 years IP Telephone/VoIP experience

Minimum 1 years related Interactive Intelligence experience in version
