Position Description


The Technical Analyst plans, conducts, and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems. Partners with users to identify, evaluate, and develop systems and procedures which are cost effective and meet user requirements. May plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.

Additional Knowledge & Skills


**HL7 experience strongly preferred.

**OO, Java, GWT, Unix and Web design experience preferred.

**Team Lead and Business Process experience is a plus.

**Healthcare experience is a plus.

**Experience working with Horizon suite of nursing applications and associated legacy applications is preferred.

Minimum Requirements


**Experience and knowledge of the SDLC methodology and Agile.

**6+ years experience in business analysis, requirements definition, building systems solutions and deployment of business requirements to information systems.

**Experience with integrated solutions that include products delivered across varying technology platforms (Java, C#, .Net, C++, GWT...), Oracle and ESB.

**SQL proficiency.

**Worked with clients to identify, clarify and document basic to moderately complex business requirements.

**Experience working on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

**Demonstrated sound and disciplined judgment when defining/obtaining solutions.

**Demonstrated ability to work in project teams and within the constraints of the team environment to implement defined system solutions per defined delivery dates.

**Demonstrated interpersonal and effective and clear communication skills during client and project team interactions.

**Demonstrated strong analytical/problem solving skills to resolve complex business problems.

**Demonstrated strong presentation and writing skills.

Education


**B.S. degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline.

Position Description


McKesson Corporation is seeking a proven Agile Senior Software Engineer who will be responsible for developing quality software specifications and code for our Healthcare applications. The Agile Senior Software Engineer will work with our development team and testers to design software for testability and rigorous, automated testing



The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an agile software development environment, including emergent architecture, changing requirements, and changing priorities (SCRUM, Agile, XP, etc.). In addition, the Agile Senior Software Engineer will be a reliable team player devoted to completing assigned tasks on schedule with minimal supervision.



Primary Responsibilities -

**Software Development

**Design software for testability and rigorous, automated testing

**Actively participate in requirements review, analysis and planning

**Document software specifications and code

**Apply McKesson coding standards in code documentation and naming conventions



Secondary Responsibilities -

**Quality Assurance

**Execute quality assurance testing on own software before delivery to QA department

**Provide technical support for the application by diagnosing and correcting software malfunctions

**Technical Expertise

**Perform research and evaluation of the software design and implementation options while making recommendations as for go forward decision

**Provide technical expertise to applications developers

Additional Knowledge & Skills


**Strongly prefer knowledge and experience with - SOAP, REST, Javascript, HTML 5.0, CSS, Log4j, SLF4j, C, C++, Servlets, XML Parsing, TCP/IP and Eclipse.

**Experience with testig tools such as JUNIT, Selenium or Cucumber and continious build and test automation with Hudson/Jenkins or Sonar preferred.

**A solid working knowledge of UNIX, Linux or Windows.

**Technical domain experience in SOA and Security - Authentication, Authorization, Identity and Access Management, SSO, Certificate Authorities, LDAP, AD, etc. preferred.

**Business domain background in Healthcare Inpatient Hospital Systems is a definite plus.

Minimum Requirements


**6+ years of object-oriented software design and development experience

**Knowledge and Experience with: Java, JDBC, Hibernate, Spring, C#, GWT, .NET 3.5, MVC/MVP design patterns and Oracle PL/SQL.

**Problem solving aptitude

**Solid team skills (team-player)

**Highly motivated

**Strong analytical skills

**Demonstrated problem solving, planning and organizational skills

**Strong written and interpersonal communication

Education
