Join Oracle's Auto Service Request team today! A team of senior software developers developing software used to automatically generate customer service requests for device failures. Software at the customer site detects a failure, sends all pertinent event information to a back-end application that normalizes, applies filtering rules, and opens a customer service request. Fast paced,
diverse team, leveraging Agile with Scrum Software Development methodology. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits.
Work involves a diverse set of technologies, languages, and operating systems and may include using Java, JSP/Servlets, XML, Shell sripting, Perl, Hibernate, RESTful Web Services, OSGi, business rules engine, MySQL, Oracle Database, HTML,and Javascript in Linux and Solaris environments. Work also includes SNMP, HTTP, and other common network interface protocols and technologies.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Preferred Requirements:
• 6+ years of Java development
• Extensive experience and familiarity with the software development life cycle
• 6+ years of XML
• Developing in an Solaris environment

• Interfacing with devices via SNMP
• Extensive experience and familiarity with the software development life cycle
• Fluent in written and spoken English

• BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
