Systems Administrator/Analyst. Based in Boulder, Colorado, EDUCAUSE

Manager of Networks and Systems Administration
Responsibilities:
-Provide general systems, network, and technical support for both local
and remote staff
-Provide support for association applications including iMIS association
management software, Dynamics, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Windows
2003/2008 server
-Manage all aspects of association systems-related projects (new
applications and application upgrades), including requirements analysis,
planning, testing, implementing, and training
-Act as a liaison with Development Team to coordinate efforts and
provide support
-Shared after hours on-call duty
-Travel to 3-5 EDUCAUSE events/conferences per year to support the
onsite network, the speakers, and the attendees
-Other duties as assigned
Required Experience/Skills:
-Windows 2003/2008 Server experience and MS XP or Windows 7 experience
-Desktop, server, and appliance hardware support experience (RAID,
firmware management, etc.)
-MS SQL Server 2005 experience including:
-Monitoring
-Configuration and maintenance (backups, application
support, etc.)
-SSIS package setup
-MySQL support experience
-Network experience including:
-Configuration and support of Active Directory, TCP/IP,
DNS, DHCP
-Strong understanding of OSI Model
-Data backup management experience (Backup Exec preferably)
-Anti-virus management experience
-Ability to prioritize and demonstrate flexibility in completing tasks
-Ability to manage time and work both independently and as a member of a
team
-Excellent attention to detail
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
-Ability to lift 50 pounds
Preferred Experience:
-VMWare or other virtualization experience
-Storage (iSCSI SAN ideal) management and maintenance experience
-Exchange 2003/2010 experience
-Experience supporting iMIS association database or other CRM tool
-Experience writing TSQL queries
-Programming/scripting experience
-JUNOS experience
-RADIUS experience
-Non-profit/Higher Education experience
