City and County of Denver - PeopleSoft Applications Administrator

The City and County of Denver's Enterprise Application Services team is looking for a PeopleSoft Application Administrator with experience in PeopleSoft versions 8.x and 9.x and PeopleTools versions 8.4x and 8.5x.

The PeopleSoft Application Administrator will be responsible for installation, operation, upgrades and maintenance of all PeopleSoft applications including Financial, HR, CRM and Enterprise Portal. This individual will be responsible for the creation of PeopleSoft database servers, web servers and application servers in a multi-instance environment. They will provide expert troubleshooting for isolating technical problems in the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA) including Oracle database, Tuxedo application running on Unix, Weblogic application running on VMWare and application messaging. The Application Administrator will act as the lead on projects to architect, implement, enhance and test PeopleSoft systems and applications to meet dynamic business needs. Additional responsibilities also include supporting the development and testing efforts of Peoplesoft developers and analysts.

The PeopleSoft Application Administrator will work in conjunction with the project lead/Project manager to execute the following duties:
Installation, operation, upgrade and maintain all PeopleSoft application servers, web servers, middleware, databases and database servers.
Perform Oracle database refreshes and restores.
Perform change management and migration of PeopleSoft objects/code.
Monitor and install patches and upgrades to the application, web servers, application servers, PeopleTools and databases.
Administer PeopleSoft security, including integration with Microsoft Active Directory and Oracle IdM.
Responsibility for messaging and gateway/node configuration to support a service oriented architecture and integration between all applications.
Provide programming/scripting assistance to support PeoplSoft system automation.
Debug and tune/optimize SQL statements.
Provide 2nd tier support to end users.
