*Role Summary*

This position will provide support, analysis, system/user acceptance testing
and interpretation for all data analysis, ad hoc requests and projects. The
Informatics Specialist will be extensively involved in project methodology
assuming requirement and test analyst roles. This individual will work
collaboratively with all Customer Reporting teams as well as other
functional areas within CIGNA.


*Responsibilities*

* Work with Business Sponsors to provide analysis and interpretation of
business processes, goals and objectives to understand what will be
developed and translate them into requirements.
* Develop test strategies/summaries and create and execute effective test
cases to ensure the application meets the stated requirements and functions
as required.
* Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis as warranted on ad hoc
requests for both internal and external customers (i.e., sales,
underwriting, clients, producers, vendors).
* Implement and manage report projects to create long-term reporting
solutions that meet CIGNA and industry specific business definitions,
business specific calculations, comparisons, analysis and interpretation.
* Assist Customer Reporting Analytics and Development teams by continuously
looking for ways to improve standard reporting suite through the monitoring
of common themes.


*Qualifications*

* Bachelor's degree in Business, MIS or CIS strongly preferred.
* 3-5 years software development experience.
* 3-5 years CIGNA or other health care experience preferred.
* Experience with data marts or relational databases.
* Hyperion or comparable reporting tool experience.
* Experience related to reporting and analysis preferred.
* Solid written and verbal communication skills with associates at all
levels of the organization.
* Self directed and able to manage and prioritize several tasks and projects
concurrently.
* Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
* Strong orientation towards customer service and quality product delivery.
