Will perform both manual and automated testing, leveraging strong understanding of IT systems and system integration expertise to test product functionality.


Principle duties and responsibilities:

* Suggests and implements innovative approaches for problem resolution.

* Reviews and provides input on the accuracy, clarity and testability of requirement documentation.

* Conducts testing using multiple test methodologies.

* Creates, executes and maintains complex test cases.

* Creates, executes and maintains automated test scripts.

* Isolates software problems, and writes clear and detailed defect reports.

* Assists development with defect reproduction.

* Validates issues reported as fixed.

* Demonstrates product mastery over responsible applications.

* Communicates issues and status to team and management.



Required Skills:

* Working knowledge of hardware and software systems, components and multiple platforms.

* Analytical and investigative problem-solving skills, and the tenacity to work to the resolution of complex tasks.

* Ability to create and maintain automated tests in QTP.

* Intermediate experience with SQL and Unix.

* Ability to assume responsibility for project assignments.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Strong time management skills

* Ability to work well within a team-based environment.

* Proven history of assimilating information and demonstrating fundamental understanding.

Preferred Skills:

* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

* Ability to create and maintain performance tests in JMeter.

* Ability to create and maintain tests in JUnit.

* The ability to perform in a dynamic environment.



Required Qualifications:

* B.S. in Computer Science or related degree, or a combination of education and related experience.

* 2+ years experience in a software testing role.
