We are currently looking for candidates to fill a Sybase DBA position in a high impacting, fast paced, and challenging environment. The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for working with a team of senior and associate Sybase DBAs to perform Database administration across production and non-production environments. Responsibilities include Sybase database administration, Sybase Data/Replication server builds including implementations of data replication to/from Sybase, Oracle and MS SQL Server, environment/database refreshes, code deployment, and troubleshooting.
Requirements/experience:
- Bachelors degree, Sybase certification strongly preferred.
- Sybase to Sybase Replication Server; replication to MS SQL Server and Oracle preferred.
- Strong Sybase database administration in a production support role; previous hosting experience preferred.
- Proficient in Sybase 12.5.x and 15.0.x , Sybase Replication Server 12.6 and 15.x.
- Unix AIX, Shell programming, Perl, SQL Server 2000/2005.
- Product experience - TriZetto's Facets 3.x, 4.x preferred.
- Demonstrate excellent judgment to assess highest priorities and able to manage time effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
