Our Information Technology Group is seeking a Jave developer to join us in our Denver, CO offices. The candidate will work with the Web application development team to modify web based applications. Related responsibilities include the preparation of application system requirements, engaging business process teams, pursuit of alternative design options and preparation of technical design documentation. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Individual will work with a lead developer/designer, but may direct the work of others for small projects.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Provide development skills to enhance and support web based application.
Provide level of effort for enhancements and projects, and deliver within estimates.
Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving web based application issues in development, test and production environment.
Provide recommendations for design changes to meet requirements with in set timeframes.
Develop and maintain scripts for database changes as part of release process.
Work with both internal and external groups as related to web based application development, deployment and maintenance.
Unit and system test of web based application.
Assume other projects/assignments as directed by management.
B.S. Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline

Application Platforms - Apache, Jboss, WebLogic, or Tomcat
Languages - J2EE, JavaScript, Java, and JSP
Database - Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL
Build & Configuration Management - Ant, SVN/CVS, Oracle, and Cruise Control
Common Utilities - jUnit, Log4J, Cobertura, etc.
Operating Systems - Windows XP, and Linux
Service/DAO Framework - EJB 2/3, Hibernate, and JDBC
Web Services - SOAP, WSDL, XSD, and JAXB
Skills for troubleshooting production support, database or performance issues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Kowledge and ability to unit and system test code and provide code review for other development staff.
Proven Skills in designing integrated web solutions in support of business requirements.
Work with other design leads across applications to support integration efforts.
Configuration Management including Cruise Control and/or TeamCity.
Be a leader, detail oriented, quick study, and self-motivated.
