Senior Database Manager for the DBA team to work in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. This client facing position will assume overall responsibility for the management, administration, performance, reliability, integrity and security for distributed database server projects.
- Coordinate with support groups and application managers to ensure business objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Responsibilities include maximizing system availability, optimizing database performance through new features/technologies, and redesigning application and database that will ensure conformance to audit and operating standards.
- Actively participate in all phases of project development life cycle including logical and physical database design reviews, process flow analysis, capacity management, availability management.
Required Skills:
1) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science plus a minimum of 10+ years of database administration experience with Oracle.
2) A minimum of five years of experience with proven experience leading a core technical team in a rapid pace, high availability, high transaction workload environment
3) Deep knowledge of DBMS internals and operations
3) Excellent communication skills
4) Strong analytical, troubleshooting, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
5) Knowledge of SQL programming, database clustering, client/server architecture, client connectivity products, network basics, database logging and recovery, database objects, database device maintenance, native database backup utilities.
