Position Description: Posting CO-055 Systems Analyst I:
Provide systems administration and technical support for a 450 node
Local Area Network spanning 15 field site offices over a 5 state area.
Responsible for test & release of operating system and security patches.
Monitor installation results and ensure all Microsoft servers and
workstations are kept up-to-date. Monitoring and management of SAN
(Storage Area Network) resources. Monitoring and management of server
and backup resources (as delegated by lead System Administrator).
Troubleshooting of basic IT services as required (DNS, Citrix, Web,
backup system). Maintain maintenance warranty renewals for HP servers,
Quantum tape libraries, EMC SAN, Raritan KVM switches. Ensure
maintenance renewals are current. Occasional travel to remote sites
(1-4 days) and work overtime or provide on-call support as required.
Requirements:
High School/GED. Minimum five years of practical related work
experience in addition to the following: Detailed operating knowledge of
the Microsoft Windows Server 2000-2008 operating systems, including
Standard & Enterprise versions, Microsoft Clustering and Virtual server.
Detailed knowledge of procurement, installation, troubleshooting, and
configuration management of Enterprise series server hardware. Detailed
knowledge of Microsoft AD domains including but not limited to ADS
(directory services), DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management. Detailed
knowledge of SAN and fiber channel technology. Working knowledge of
antivirus protection utilizing a client/server technology within a
corporate environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft WSUS Server and
administrative console, Citrix servers/farms, Veritas NetBackup/Backup
Exec administration, blackberry devices and blackberry enterprise
server.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction providing
technical and non-technical support to multiple users. Excellent verbal
and written communication skills. US citizenship required. Must pass
stringent federal background investigation, able to lift 40 lbs and have
current Colorado driver´s license.
Additional knowledge beneficial in the following areas: Education
beyond high school. AS, BS in addition to technical certifications.
Detailed operating knowledge of the Novell Netware Server operating
systems. Working knowledge of Novell server applications, including
Iprint, GroupWise, application deployment using ZenWorks, Novell
clustering. Detailed knowledge of IIS and Apache web services and
Unix/Linux server operating systems.

Position Description: Java developer position is to support existing
software development efforts and contribute to new software development
efforts at the Western Area Power Administration in Loveland. Primarily
Java/Oracle expertise is required with some exposure to Web
technologies. SOA experience would be a plus. This developer position
contributes to the full SDLC (software development life-cycle). He/she
will contribute to requirements gathering and analysis, software
architecture and design, coding, unit testing, and deployment.
Potentially contribute to quality assurance efforts as well.

Position Requirements:
o 5 or more years of Java development experience using J2SE (JDK´s 4,
5, and 6). An understanding of distributed multi-threaded applications
is required.
o 2 or more years with Java Swing.
o 2 or more years experience working and interfacing applications with
Oracle (JDBC with some PL/SQL).
o 2 or more years working with JBoss application server.
o Test driven development and JUnit experience is a must.
o Knowledge of the SDLC is a must.
o Agile development experience is an added benefit.
o SOA and Web experience is an added benefit.
o Excellent organizational skills.
o Excellent troubleshooting skills.
o Excellent oral and written communication skills.
o Ability to multi-task.
o Team player with a great attitude.
o 4 year technical college degree or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge of the power industry is a plus
