Newmont - Senior SharePoint Developer

PURPOSE:

Serve as the overall technical and subject matter expert (SME) for data related to global operations systems applications. Oversees all data integration processes and methodologies to ensure consistent application across all systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Liaise with the operational business unit to understand business process and develop recommendations and action plans. This includes data standards, process flows, application architecture roadmaps, technical considerations, program recommendations and costs associated with various options.

Provide technical leadership of a global team comprised of project teams and internal customers. Define data requirements, develop data architectures, and profile source system data in support of data standardization on a global basis.

Assists in designing and implementing test plans.

Required to oversee/direct consulting resources who provide development expertise in support of project requirements.

Escalate issues and manage timely resolution of issues.

Accountable for architectural design, development, customization and integration efforts of enterprise solutions involving Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content Management, Business Process and Forms, and Business Intelligence.

Excellent communication skills with hands-on experience working on component based applications in a highly distributed environment.

Minimum of 3+ years of SharePoint technical lead and architecture experience on enterprise initiatives.

Advanced knowledge of business workflows with an in depth understanding of the capabilities of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, SharePoint Designer 2007, and K2.

Demonstrated experience developing SharePoint reporting and dashboard solutions.

In depth experience with Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content Management, Business Process and Forms, and/or Business Intelligence.

Ability to evaluate, select and articulate product strategies between MOSS 2007, WSS 3.0 and Microsoft Office Forms

Experience with Microsoft Office InfoPath Forms Services is highly preferred, as is experience with SharePoint Templates (Application Templates, Master Pages, Role-Based Templates, and the Community Kit for SharePoint)

SharePoint knowledge should include architectural design, web part development, server installation, management and troubleshooting with a focus on planning, deploying and supporting enterprise SharePoint implementations

Demonstrated project management experience with regard to requirements, estimates, planning and deliverables

Flexible hours to accommodate global meeting times.

Travel may be required but is projected to be minimal.


TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

Microsoft Visual Studio 2003/2005/2008

Microsoft SharePoint 2003/2007 and MOSS technologies

SharePoint Designer 2007

Microsoft C#.NET

Web Part development using C#

ASP.NET

Working knowledge of Visual Studio Team Server

Special consideration for background in the following:

Windows Communication Foundation
SilverLight
AJAX
Workflow Foundation
MS SQL
Oracle

B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science or related field, plus 2+ years experience in a operational business unit with 2 years of data analysis and implementation experience.

Must exhibit outstanding verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills , and deductive reasoning skills.

Experienced in business process modeling and workflow analysis, redesign and implementation in large organizations.

Must possess strong SQL skills, experience with programming languages, and Windows and Unix operating systems. Experience with .Net and Business Objects is an advantage.

Desirable Qualifcations

MCP - Microsoft Certified Professional (Microsoft Office SharePoint Server and/or ASP.NET)

MCTS - Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (Microsoft Office SharePoint Server and/or ASP.NET)
