Job Summary
As Technology Business Analyst, you'll evaluate business
requirements and assess needs related to multiple products and
implementations, using knowledge and initiative to seek solutions
and make recommendations on moderately complex assignments. You will
develop and maintain information and documentation related to
developing and modifying business processes and systems. You will
review system documentation to identify how a system might impact
the business application's systems.
Your business and technical experience and collaborative skills will
be key as you work with business representatives and technical
development resources to determine business application needs.
You'll conduct and analyze business technology processes, and
participate in the definition, documentation, testing, training,
implementation, and support of system requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Facilitate the gathering of requirements.
• JAR/JAD facilitation.
• Participate in the implementation of the requirements,
including building and maintaining rules.
• Work closely with Product Management, Quality Assurance, &
Development to ensure requirements and testing plans are sufficient
and understood by all parties.
• Collaborate with development resources on application design
and documentation
• Identify process and business system impacts of new products
and implementations and work as liaison with other areas that impact
or are impacted.
• Participate with quality assurance and quality control on
the creation and execution of acceptance testing, and support
impacted areas with rollout training.
• Be responsible for producing project deliverables, such as,
As Is and To Be flows, detailed requirements, design, and
implementation guides
• Acts as primary liaison for requirement clarification with
business owners.
• Interface with the development team to coordinate functional
specification understanding and clarify issues.
Minimum Qualifications
• Degree in Computer Technology, Business Discipline or
equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in documentation efforts for medium
to large-scale technology projects
• IT experience in business system analysis in a large-scale
environment across multiple hardware and software platforms.
• Excellent PC skills - Windows environment (Word, Excel,
Visio, PowerPoint), preferably with working knowledge of a database.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to express complex
technical concepts in understandable terms.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to
communicate with all management levels both inside and outside of
the company.
• Strong communication skills; verbal, written, listening.
• Excellent analytical (business/systems) and problem solving
skills.
• Strong facilitation skills.
• Experience in writing Application Use Cases/ Use Case
Engineering
• Able to design screen layouts, flow diagrams, and operating
procedures
• Able to learn new technology or functional area quickly and
thoroughly
• Able to understand and clearly document complex business
rules and logic
• Able to work in an energetic, fast-paced, and interruption-
driven environment
• Able to produce professional looking documentation
• Self-motivation, high attention to detail and strong
analytical skills
Additional Qualifications
• Understanding of processing systems, data modeling and
structured analysis.
