Job Summary:
The Integration Analyst is responsible for design, development, testing, implementation and support of system integration programs ensuring appropriate and stable integration of systems and applications.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Works with CHI staff and software vendors to develop detailed technical specifications for system integration projects.
2. Utilizes available tools to develop integration according to detailed technical specifications in order to meet the functional requirements of each project.
3. Coordinates, and performs the implementation and testing of integration software with CHI staff and software vendors, including developing and maintaining scripts to monitor interfaces, message transactions and enhance interface software functionality.
4. Coordinates and performs the monitoring, maintenance, and support of installed integration software and production interfaces to ensure stable integration of systems and applications.
5. Follows all CHI prescribed policies, procedures, standards and methodologies for system integration and those pertaining to ethics, security and privacy in information systems by Working with functional manager and integration peers to ensure interface environment standards are accurate, and that the technical environment is maintained and upgraded to ensure maximum effectiveness.
6. Writes and maintains detailed technical documentation to record the architecture and development for system integration projects.
7. Provides ongoing support and technical expertise to users and departments regarding healthcare application, departmental processes, and healthcare data, as it pertains to integration by maintaining professional knowledge of current trends in integration.
8. Provides 24 x 7 (after hours) on call coverage for integration (where possible support will be on a rotating basis).

Job Requirements / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or related IT field. Equivalent education and experience may be substituted for a college degree.

Experience (required and preferred):
Minimum of five years programming experience working in a complex, multi-entity IT systems and applications environment. Must have demonstrated knowledge and/or skills in the following areas:

* Exceptional written and oral communications skills. Effective in coordinating and facilitating meetings/conference call with multiple customers/vendors across time zones.
* Experience with integration engine tools and/or script writing tools required. SeeBeyond e*Gate experience required.
* Knowledge in various Object Oriented (OO) programming required. Java preferred.
* Experience in a rapid development environment is required.
* Technical experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting interfaces.
* Working knowledge of communication transports like TCP/IP, FTP, HTTP, SMTP, ODBC and JDBC.
* Working knowledge of common healthcare EDI formats like HL7, Legacy, XML.
* Experience with manipulating ODBC compliant databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
* Understanding and experience with Information Systems and data flow between main Hospital Information Applications and Clinical Information Applications.
* Knowledge of Health Care Industry and related Health Care Applications.
* The ability to establish effective working relationships with users, vendors, peers and management, and to develop successful plans of action with minimal direct supervision is essential.
* Strong technical requirements gathering, design, development, testing and troubleshooting skills.
* Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management and vendors.
* Ability to multitask, be self-directed and learn business context rapidly
* Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a project team.
* Possess the desire to learn and accept new challenges
