operations software development capacity.

You will be reporting directly to our VP of IT Operations and will be
writing and maintaining software across all of our enterprise
systems. While this job will be primarily focused on defect
resolution and automation, you will have the opportunity to develop
new software systems from the ground up as well. You could be
working on a legacy Cold Fusion app in the morning, some AJAX code at
noon, C# and .NET in the afternoon – oh, and perhaps writing some
LAMP applications for facebook in between! Through performing your
job duties, you will be exposed to some of the latest and greatest
concepts on the internet – you'll could be working on Web2.0
projects, Social Media Marketing (SMM) applications like facebook,
automation and integration with huge e-commerce companies like Google
and Amazon, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) of our existing and
future websites, cutting edge product presentation and merchandising
systems, and more. You will also be focused on automating routine
tasks such as systems monitoring, data feeds, integration with third
parties, and the like.

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer (ASP.NET, Cold Fusion,
LAMP and / or equivalent experience) with the knowledge, motivation,
and creativity to help with the maintenance and development of legacy
and existing websites and applications specifically. You should have
solid skills in C#, ASP.Net or the equivalent (Cold Fusion is a
plus), with a willingness and desire to go the extra mile to ensure
our software systems are running efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:
• Design and implement changes to our legacy and going forward
software applications.
• Diagnose and resolve problems in our production software
systems.
• Author new software to improve automation and reduce cost.
• Work with customers and other developers to understand
requirements, troubleshoot processes and software, and recommend /
implement solutions.
• Stay up-to-date on software technology, engineering
techniques, share knowledge and apply it to build better software
solutions.

Qualifications / Skills Required:
• 2+ years of relevant work experience and training.
• Proficiency with one of more of the following: C#, .Net 1.1
or higher and the ASP.NET framework, LAMP, Cold Fusion, JAVA.
• Web based languages such as HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc…
• SQL Server or Oracle, including SQL programming.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Experience working with end customers to write / troubleshoot
software to meet their business needs.
• Able to succeed when working alone, doing one's own
troubleshooting and problem-solving as well as in a collaborative
team environment.
• Very strong JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, and CSS skills
particularly for creating valid, W3C standards compliant, cross-
browser, cross-platform markup.
• Knowledge of and experience using AJAX and web 2.0
technologies to build dynamic and highly interactive web pages.
Familiarity with ASP.NET AJAX (formerly Atlas) toolkit is highly
desirable.
• Experience working with and designing XML or SOAP based Web
Services.
• Familiarity with User Controls in .NET applications.
• Use of Visual Source Safe or other version control systems
