and tools. We deliver innovative, high quality products to help our
clients and their customers visualize, manipulate and understand
complex
financial information. Our compelling, presentation-rich services for
financial professionals and individual investors have won acclaim for
our clients, many of whom rank at the top of the Gomez and Forbes
awards. Our products are custom designed for each client, completely
private-labeled, and fully integrated into the client's other
offerings.
We are currently accepting resumes for a 9-month contract web
development position, working with one of the largest financial firms
in
the country. This is a trememdous opportunity for someone with the
following skills and the desire to build richly interactive web
interfaces displaying real time financial market data.
Javascript
Solid understanding of the prototype inheritance pattern
Experience creating, contributing to, and working with Javascript
development libraries (Dojo, JQuery, YUI, Your own, etc)
Familiarity with asynchronous data retrieval concepts behind push
technologies (ie: pjax/Comet)
Coding in the browser
D/X/HTML + CSS mastery
Strong knowledge of the DOM
Browser quirks and rendering engine enjoyment
On the server
Java / JSP experience
Struts
Velocity
Some travel to New York City will be required. (Roughly 1 out of every
6
weeks will be spent in New York.)
