Ardent Financial Services is currently recruiting for a QA Engineer
to join our team located in our Westminster, Colorado branch office.
The QA Engineer will work with senior developers and IT Management to
accomplish software development testing goals. The QA
Analyst/Developer will also be responsible for some software
development tasks assigned by the lead software developer.
Responsibilities include creating test plans, devising test scripts,
developing unit/component tests, and software development tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Take direction from IT Management on testing and development
tasks to be completed.
• Translate business requirements into test cases/plans.
• Responsible for some software development tasks.
• Responsible for establishing the software validation programs
and performing software quality assurance.
• Consult with software developers and business staff to
evaluate software quality, and operational and performance
requirements of overall system.
• Develop and direct software system testing procedures,
programming and documentation.
• Evaluate, test, and review new or modified software programs
to determine if program will perform according to user request.
• Recommend program improvements or corrections to programmers.
Test programs for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and
conformance to established standards.
• Detect program error codes or interruption of program and
corrects errors. Conduct compatibility tests with vendor-provided
programs.
• Monitor program performance after implementation to prevent
reoccurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of
operation.
• Write documentation to describe program evaluation, testing,
and correction.
• Manage build and release automation.
• Evaluate and implement testing automation tools.
Job Requirements:
• Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information
Technology, or Engineering degree.
• Minimum 3 years of software testing/QA experience.
• Minimum 2 years C#/ASP.NET/.NET professional experience in
testing.
• Understanding of Object Oriented Programming.
• Experience with .NET 2.0 framework's capabilities and
features is a plus.
• Web UI development experience including layout/design of web
pages.
• 2 years of SQL Server 2000 and T-SQL.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Related
degree may be considered.
• Three or more years experience in application QA/testing, or
an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Candidate must be a fast learner and enjoy continued skill
set advancement.
• Requires good judgment and communication skills, and the
ability to work effectively with management and staff.
• Experience as a Software Developer a plus
• Technical writing capabilities and experience

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
experience.
• 3-5 years of system/network engineering and administration
experience.
• 2+ years of Exchange 2000/2003 Server Administration and
Support experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows 2000 / 2003 administration.
