Job Description

Participates in technical design, development and implementation of application systems. May have customer interaction. Under general supervision, provides day to day support of application changes. Provides input in the development and implementation of Annuity Applications and processes in support of implementation life cycle.

Primary Responsibilities

* Provide input in the design, development or engineering, testing and implementation of infrastructure configurations for multiple platforms.
* Designs and codes programs; creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and revise programs.
* Writes documentation that describes installation and operating procedures.
* Writes new programs of moderate complexity and scope, working with basic applications systems designs and specifications and utilizing standard procedures and techniques.
* Interfaces with system designers to design, code, test and implement application programs.
* Assists in developing application specifications.
* Participates in post- implementation reviews of both application development content and process to maximize and share learning.
* May provide technical support to technical vendor resources

As Appropriate

* Designs and codes business process models.
* Designs and codes business rules and algorithms.
* Provide basic troubleshooting of problems, escalate accordingly.
* Maintaining focus on customer satisfaction through process improvement, workflow automation, and two-way communications.

Job Requirements

* Bachelor*s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field preferred, or 7 years of relevant work experience
* 3 years of programming experience in .Net
* 2 years of experience with SQL Server
* Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Power Point and Access

Preferred Requirements

* 1 year Web site development
* 1 year Web service development
* 2 years of experience with Java
* Visio
