We are currently looking for a Applications Developer IIIis responsible for designing, programming, building, testing, maintenance and release management of Colorado Access business application software systems. This position will also participate in defining requirements for business problems and opportunities of a diverse nature with medium to high complexity.
Essential Functions Summary:
· Develop Java EE applications as well as standalone Java applications that support the enterprise.
· Actively participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Methodology of analysis, requirements gathering and documentation, design, development, code reviews, integration and release management.
· Provide active leadership and mentoring to other developers while providing innovation and new ideas.
· Actively participate in and demonstrate support of all Colorado Access and department quality initiatives and the department communication strategy.
· Perform project management activities identified by the Manager of Application & Data Services.
Requirements/Experience:
· B.S. in Computer Science and eight years progressive work experience in related field.
· 8-10+ years of experience developing Java applications.
· 8-10+ years of object-oriented software engineering experience.
· 8-10+ years of architecture, development and implementation experience with core Java and related platform technologies.
· 8-10+ years of experience with open source technologies and libraries such as Log4J & Apache Commons.
· Advanced understanding of development patterns.
· 8-10+ years of development experience with JDBC and RDBMS, either Oracle PL/SQL or MS SQL Server. Proven experience in Relational Database Modeling.
· 8-10+ years of unit, system & validation testing.
· Proven experience with ANT, Eclipse, CVS and/or Subversion.
· Proven experience in the full SDLC.
· Proven leadership and innovation experience.
