Handy Networks LLC is now accepting resumes for full time hosting support and data center system engineers. Multiple positions are available. We are a web hosting / Internet data center company looking for a skilled, conscientious, customer focused individuals to join our team and handle a large variety tasks on a day to day basis; everything from building servers to troubleshooting complex technical / server configuration issues. We are a multi-platform shop; experience in multiple platforms is preferred but not necessary.

Summary:
This is an on-site, full time position in downtown Denver. The ideal candidate for this position must be self-motivated, work well independently, have excellent critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, and must have excellent written and verbal communications skills. Additionally, we are seeking individuals that have at least one year prior experience working in the web hosting / data center industry, or equivalent education.

Job Duties:
A successful applicant will be responsible for performing a large variety of day to day tasks, including the following:

* Providing support for tier I -- III support issues for shared, reseller, dedicated and colocated hosting customers via phone, email and our web based helpdesk.
* Doing OS installations, performing server configurations, performing server software upgrades and hardware upgrades and repairs.
* Configuring and managing monitoring and backup systems for our customers and servers.
* Interact with vendors for the purpose of resolving technical issues impacting our customers.
* And of course, anything else we may ask you to do :)

Required Skills:
* Excellent written and verbal skills (English) that enable you to effectively communicate with customers and explain complex technical issues in easily digested, carefully crafted prose.
* A customer-centric attitude; a deep commitment to taking ownership of the issues you handle and ensuring that the issue is completely and thoroughly resolved to the customers' satisfaction.
* An understanding of Internet systems and how they all interrelate to each other (DNS, reverse DNS, SMTP, POP3, IMAP4, dynamic web applications, database technologies (mySQL, MS SQL), SSL, FTP, SSH, SNMP, etc)
* Basic scripting knowledge (batch file, shell scripts, VBScript, etc)
* Experience with at least one of the following control panels at an advanced level, preference in this order : cPanel, WebSitePanel, Helm / H-Sphere / Plesk
* An understanding of Linux or Windows Server, especially as related to Internet connected servers, services and technologies
* You must be willing consent to a background check and credit check.
* You must be at least 18 years of age
* Bonus Skills: Exchange Server (2003 / 2007 / 2010), JunOS, virtualization (HyperV / VMWare / OpenVZ), SAN (fibre channel / iSCSI experience), familiarity with data center infrastructure (CRAC units, UPS, etc)

Shift Timing:
 12 hour shifts on a rotating 3 day/4 day schedule. We are hiring for an *overnight* shift that will commence at 8:00PM or 9:00PM.

Compensation:
Full Time: $15 - $25/hr ($31K - $52K/yr)
