We are currently looking for an Intel System Engineer to work in our Denver, CO office.



Summary:

The position of Intel System Engineer resides within the Corporate IT Services division with Realogy, and reports to the SE Manager of Realogy Corporate.




Job Description:

· Assist with supporting over 300 Microsoft Windows servers (primarily Windows 2003 and Windows 2008) –including File/Print clusters, SQL Server clusters, IIS servers, and Citrix / Terminal Server servers.

· Provide on-site hardware support for servers from multiple manufacturers including Dell and IBM. This includes proactive monitoring of hardware for issues – possibly with the assistance of tools such as IBM Director and Dell OpenManage. Support for numerous server types – including blade servers – is required.

· Utilize VMware Virtual Center and/or Microsoft Virtual Machine Manager to assist with the monitoring and management of Windows virtual servers.

· Respond to all alert notifications in a timely manner and be able to work with other IT team members to troubleshoot issues, determine root causes, and develop solutions. Proper escalation of alerts will be required.

· Participate in an on-call rotation and be available to respond to issues while on-call in an expedited manner. This includes being available to go on-site to the data center or access servers in the data center remotely after hours to assist with issues.

· Coordinate with outside vendors for support as required in order to ensure maximum uptime for servers.

· Implement firmware updates and operating system patches on a regular basis in order to ensure all servers remain as secure and stable as possible.

· Assist in ensuring the physical and logical security of all servers and data in the data center.

· Be responsible for performing asset management duties for all data center equipment.

· Build and configure new servers for numerous projects across multiple business units. This includes racking physical servers, ensuring appropriate cabling and power, configuring servers to meet defined SOX guidelines, and documenting server configurations.

· Ensure that all servers are being backed up properly and assist with restoring data as necessary.

· Participate in all change control, problem management, and incident reporting processes.



Experience and Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Management or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Industry certifications a plus.

· Minimum 5 years of experience in Intel Systems Administration and Support.

· Experience managing Microsoft Windows servers in a corporate environment. This includes knowledge of Windows 2003/2008 clustered servers.

· Experience working in a data center environment (raised floors, racks/cabinets, cabling, power, cooling).

· Experience supporting hardware from multiple manufacturers and, optimally, with utilizing products such as Dell OpenManage and IBM Director.

· Knowledge and experience in backup and restore technologies and concepts.

· Working knowledge of LAN/WAN networking concepts – including TCP/IP, firewalls, ports utilized by applications/servers, proxy servers.

· Knowledge of VMware ESX servers and experience utilizing Virtual Center to manage virtual servers.

· Experience in AD administration, IIS administration, and Citrix Presentation Server management is a plus.

· Exceptional analytical skills necessary to identify and resolve technical issues or problems.

· Capability and desire to continuously learn new technologies, tools and methodologies.

· Ability to work after hours as necessary and participate in a 24 x 7 on-call rotation.

· Ability to travel occasionally on an as-needed basis.

· Must possess excellent decision-making and oral/written communication skills.

· Must be able to work well with team players from other IT teams in remote locations.
